Monday 14 June, Sydvaranger had the pleasure of hosting a site visit in the mine for more than 70 students and teachers from the upper primary level at Hesseng Flerbrukssenter in connection with the school’s local community project. Part of the project is learning about the local history, and the significance the mine and the mining operations have had for Sør-Varanger and the local community. We are a local Company, with a long and proud local history – and being able to take part of this project was very rewarding to our mining-hearts. And hopefully, several of the eager and interested students visiting will become valued local employees in the future😊
