This week, the Board of Sydvaranger received, with sincere regret, the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Antony Heitmann Beckmand. Tony joined the Company in June 2016, continuing his journey with the Sydvaranger project which originally commenced in October 2008. His extensive background and experience in mining, combined with strong commitment and perserverance, have enabled the Company to significantly progress its strategic goals, primarily the recommencement of mining and processing operations. With Tony’s leadership over the years, Sydvaranger has made many notable achievements which are reflected in the Company now having developed its strategic roadmap with detailed and well engineered plans ready for execution, which will enable Sydvaranger to be both a competitive and robust mining operation.

Fortunately, Sydvaranger has an exceptionally talented team in place and the business is well positioned for its next steps. Tony has resigned to be able to be closer to his family in Perth, Australia. His passion and commitment to Sydvaranger as our Chief Executive Officer will be sincerely missed. The Chairman of Sydvaranger, on behalf of the Board, wishes to express his appreciation of Tony and his important contribution to the Company and wish him every success in the future. Sydvaranger will now commence the process of identifying and appointing a new Chief Executive Officer.
